Now available: The new Felus Cremins Band album
Hello, friends!
As I promised the last time I wrote to you, the new Felus Cremins Band album, American Romantic Music, is now available for your listening pleasure. Hurrah! Brian and I are so excited to share it with you.
You can click here to stream and/or download the album on Bandcamp. We'll be making CDs very soon, too--so drop me a line if you'd like to get on the waiting list for one.
Here's what the cover art looks like:
The album features eight new songs written by Brian and one weird little field recording made up of some sound clips we captured while we were on our epic European trip in 2017.
And if that's simply not enough background information for you, Brian and I also just recorded a whole episode for my podcast I'll Follow You breaking down how we wrote and arranged and recorded the title track. In addition to our wide-ranging chat, you’ll also get to hear audio clips of how the song progressed from its first demo to its first live performance to the final recorded version that’s the heart of the new album.
You can listen to the episode on the podcast service of your choice by searching for "I'll Follow You," or you can stream it on Anchor.fm. Show notes (and an additional streaming option) are available on my blog here.
American Romantic Music is the first collection of original material that we've released since Music for Qodèxx back in 2017, so we're extra excited to share with you these musical ideas that have been percolating in our imaginations these past few years.
We don't currently have any gigs scheduled, but if there's a venue near you that you think would be a good fit for our sound and sensibility, let us know! We're always open to playing places we've never been before--the weirder and more unlikely, the better.
Happy Valentine's Day from my heart to yours!
